    <content type="html">Hello Peeps!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I've done it!!  Completed The London Triathlon Female Supersprint Event!!  I haven't got my race times yet but should have them over the next couple of days!!  Will log in and let you know!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A big thankyou to everyone who has sponsored me so far.     <title>Triathlon Training Diary/Yorkshire/Pies etc.....</title>

    <content type="html">Hello!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;No, I haven't been a lazy soanso over the last few days.  I just haven't logged on because I've been in Yorkshire visiting my Dad and eating favourite Yorkshire dishes such as roast beef and yorkshire pudding with onion gravy and stuffing AND the most enormous steak and mushroom pie you've ever seen in your life!!  No fish and chips wi' scraps this time but I'm goin back there in a month!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway......&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I did nowt on Monday and Tuesday but went to Shipley and did 1000 metre swim on Wednesday.  On the same day, I ran from Haworth to Oxenhope and back (about 2 miles/4km).  Got home today (Thursday) and did a 12km bike ride.  I did plan on going swimming too but was completely pooped by 8pm so thought I'd log on here and report progress instead!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My plan is to go to London and do a leisurely open water swim tomorrow, come home and get ready for Saturday then have an early night as I have to get into London early enough to rack my bike.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Next time I log on I shall hopefully have completed the course and have a nice shiny medal to show for it!!!  Perhaps I shall be a few pounds lighter too!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Hope to see some of you there cheering me on on the day.  My race number is: 514.  Keep your eyes peeled.  I'm kinda short!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well take care for now and please keep that sponsor money coming in.     <title>Triathlon Training Diary/Blondie/Stranded in London/Bloody Boiler's Knackered AGAIN!!!</title>

    <content type="html">Hi Guys!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well, I got stranded in London on Monday night thanks to our lovely public transport system cancelling trains &amp; trains breaking down and not announcing it in any of the stations!!  It's a long story but I finally got home around 0330am after the train company (thankfully) put an extra train on to cover the one that had to be taken out of service.  Needless to say I needed to sleep all of the morning in order to be fit enough to do my late shift that day so no exercise was done there.  It was worth it however because Blondie were absolutely bloody brilliant!!!  So glad that I went to see them!!  Debbie Harry is still gorgeous, sounds and looks amazing!!  Clem Burke (the drummer) is equally as much fun to watch when he's playing.  They are all so talented and it was really good to hear a portion of my own record collection played live and so fresh!!  I have most of the singles from the Parallel Lines album but I think I will definitely be buying the re-released version.  Apparently there is some bonus video footage on it.  Besides as it is in digital format I will be able to download it onto my iPOD!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, the next day (Wednesday) I was on a long day (15 hour shift) and the ward was really, really busy so I didn't do any exercise then either.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today, I just did an early and finished at 1400hrs so I have been running (2.5km around the park) and swimming (462 metres in the pool).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am now going to fight with the boiler again (the pilot light is still going out dammit!!) so that I can have a bath and wash my hair!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Goodnight and thanks for checking in.     <content type="html">Hello!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Just logging in to say that I did 1032 metres non-stop front crawl today.  Practised "sighting" too in preparation for the fact I won't be able to see where the hell I am going in the race unless I stick my head above the water!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Right, off to eat my quorn korma, rice and naan, avocado, tomato and bistro style salad with yummy balsamic vinegar and olive oil on top and blackberry, raspberry, blueberry and kiwi fruit with Total Greek Bio Yoghurt.  Yuuuuuuummmmmmm yummmmmmm!!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then I'm off to see Blondie in concert.     <title>Triathlon Training Diary Continuation Of Today's Entry &amp; Broken Down Boilers!!</title>

    <content type="html">Hi Guys!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Following on from my earlier entry today.....&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Just done 6km on the racer.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Right well, off to boil another kettle full of water in order to have a bath now.  Tomorrow I'm going to ring the gas board and ask them to kindly come and fix my boiler.  The pilot light keeps going out and it takes half-an-hour of holding one's finger on the button to restart it!!!  Frankly I can't be arsed tonight as I can't do anything else whilst relighting it, so reboiling the kettle several times over is what I shall do because at least then I can get other things done whilst waiting!!     <content type="html">Hi Guys!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Back in training as promised!!  I was out really late last night and didn't go to bed until 4am (I fancied a curry when I got in and as nowt was open I decided to cook my own)!! Didn't go swimming as I got up too late for lane swimming and didn't fancy trying to negotiate my way round loads of kids with inflatable mats when trying to do my lengths.  Think I'll swim tomorrow between finishing work and the Blondie gig!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Went for a run twice around the park.  Was out about 40minutes and ran four-and-a-half kilometres.     <content type="html">Hello.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Forgot to say that I went running around the park yesterday (about 2.5km - was out about 25 minutes anyway).  Had to get ready to go out when I came back so didn't log on to LJ.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Have been naughty today and haven't done any exercise.  Had my hair done so didn't want to mess it up because am going out tomorrow.  Hairdresser always does it better.  Have gone for the Jean Seberg look only with slightly longer sides!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, I promise to get back into action on Sunday.     <content type="html">Hello!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Have been a good girl today!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After an unsuccessful day of sports bra shopping, I had a picnic in Regent's Park and then went to the cinema to see Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of The Crystal Skull.  Good film - nice stunts.  Has John Hurt in it which is ALWAYS a good thing in my opinion!!  Harrison Ford is still looking gorgeous and of course Cate Blanchett is pretty bloody amazing in it too!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, I've been good because when I got off the train, I ran from the train station all the way home (about 20 - 25 minutes).  So there we are, exercise done.  Am now waiting for my wash to finish so I can hang out my clothes and retire to bed.  Will try and get up early in the morning so that I can go for a swim before my study day.  Can't guarantee it though.  TBH am a bit crap in the mornings.  Always was a night owl.  Ahem!!  Well look at the time I'm writing this!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Loads more sponsorship coming in now.  I think there is £130 in there plus another £25 from the taxman so we are getting there!!     <content type="html">Hello All!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well, have to say that I did naff all this weekend being that I was at a hen do in Cardiff.  Had a fabulous time with the girls.  One of the girls (Yvonne) had the ingenuity to introduce a swear box to some guys who were trying to chat us all up.  She made £10 altogether and very kindly donated it to my triathlon!!  Thanks Yvonne for that and thankyou to all those boys for swearing so much!!  God bless four letter words!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, back to the training.  Went out for a 12km bike ride on the racer today.  A poor unfortunate fly met his death when I accidently inhaled him.  Must remember not to cycle with my mouth open.  I was coughing for ages afterwards!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;More sponsorship is coming in now.  I think there is about £110 in the account plus Gift Aid donations so we are getting a bit closer to the target of £500.  Still a way to go yet though so please keep money coming in.     <content type="html">Heavens Above!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Time is pressing on and I have done sod all with regards keeping myself fit for this triathlon recently!!  Well, that's not strictly true.  Although I haven't been to the pool or gone out running for a few weeks, I have been cycling to and from work as usual and I have been eating extremely healthily!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I've started blending raw fruit and veg once more.  I used to do this on a regular basis except I always found that veggie juice tasted quite disgusting on its own.  It still does but I've discovered Jason Vale The Juice Master and he has come up with some really delicious recipes for juicing veg.  The secret is to use either a pineapple or apple base and if you put the sweeter veg in too it all goes towards making a really tasty smoothie/juice!!  Anyway, I'm getting far more than the UK Government's recommended five a day so am full of life and shall soon be back out training.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm not too worried.  I'm sure that I'll still complete the triathlon.  It didn't take me long to get up to 1000m in the pool, 3km running and 10km biking over the course of May so as long as I start training again soon, I should be ok.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well, that's all for now.  Thought I'd better post something on here as I haven't posted for so long!!  Oh house is almost sorted by the way AND I've found that ruddy map.  It wasn't in the recycling bin after all!!  It was in a bag of things that needed filing in my spare room!     <content type="html">Hi Guys!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you're wondering why I haven't logged in the last few days, it's because I'm taking a bit of a break and haven't actually done any exercise other than my bike to work.  I'm off work for a couple of days and am having a bit of a shift around and clear out of the house.  I will get up and do some training when I feel a bit more motivated.  Right now, the tip in my house is getting on my nerves and I just have to do something about it.  I hate disorganisation - like to know exactly where I can find things.  My CD, record and tape collection is in such a mess and I get seriously irritated when I have to search for 15 minutes before I can find the recording I want to play!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;See you again on here soon!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;LPLxx</content>

Had such a busy day at work, all I wanted to do when I got home was sit on the couch, beer and crisps in hand and watch TV!!  Also had some naughty cheese and crackers too!     <content type="html">Hi Guys!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I tried to log in last night to say that I had been a lazy soanso and had done bugger all towards my triathlon all day, however the computer was being so slow that in the end I got brassed off with it, shut the computer down and went to bed!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, I've been much more productive today.  After my shift, I ran 3km with backpack on my back to the supermarket and did some late night shopping.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Not long got in and have had myself a luscious homemade bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich with lashings of mayonaise and a large mug of Earl Grey tea which was also delicious!!!  Yum yum!!  I love my food and the best thing about exercise is that I can eat more of it without developing love handles!!!     <content type="html">Hi Readers!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Went for a 10km cycle ride today.  I thought about doing 20km straight off but then I thought about the fact that I do need to have the energy to train tomorrow as well, so 10km was my target and the target was achieved!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Just a little reminder about what my triathlon is in aid of:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As you know, I am trying to raise money for Amnesty International.  As a regular supporter of this charity, a few months ago I was asked to sign and send a postcard as part of a campaign to ban the use of cluster bombs.  These weapons are absolutely horrendous because not all of the clusters explode on impact, so they then go on to kill and maim indiscriminately.  It is civilians that suffer - many of them children.  Anyway, I signed and sent the postcard as requested, so you can imagine my relief when recently in the news I heard that the use of cluster bombs have now been banned in the UK!!  So, Amnesty campaigns DO work and by giving just a little of your hard earned cash you will have the opportunity to bring about real positive change in the world!  Please, please, please give if you possibly can.  Details at the bottom of every daily entry!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Right I'm off now. After work I went for a 1065 metre swim (front crawl/breast stroke on alternate lengths) and then I went for a 3km run straight after.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I must go to bed now.     <content type="html">Hi Readers!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Oh dear, I'm afraid I allowed the nightshifts to interfere somewhat with the training.  I ended up having a day off on Sunday even though I had planned on coming home from work and jumping straight on my racer to do a couple of turns around the block.  Even 5km would have been something!!  Anyway, I finished work late on Sunday morning so I thought I had better have a little bit of breakfast and then hit the sack as I was working Sunday night too.  I could have done some exercise on waking but I slept through until 5:30pm and so there wasn't really time.  Had to eat, pack food for the night and wash before leaving the house to go to work.  Never mind, am back on schedule today.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Got in from work about 9am this morning, went straight to bed and set my alarm for 2pm.  Got up, had a delicious breakfast of cereal and croissants, jam and tea (in bed).  Luxury!!  Watched "Countdown" and then went off for a swim.  Did 32 lengths in the 33 metre pool (1065 metres!!).  Usual routine of front crawl warm up, then front crawl on the even lengths and breast stroke on the odd lengths.  Front crawl is getting better and better.  Am really not worried about the swim leg now.  Not too worried about the cycle leg either as I cycle 5 to 6 times a week anyway.  Need to increase the distance, technique and speed of the run though.  Should be aiming for 5km run and 20km bike ride.  Doing double the distances I need will give me the confidence to know that I can rise to the challenge on the day of the race!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well that's all for now.     <content type="html">Hi Folks,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Right, as I actually got no sleep last night and worked a long day (7am - 7:30pm) I've decided to swap my rest day from Sunday to Friday.  I just think I will have far more energy after a good night's kip, that's all.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm due to start nightshifts tomorrow so I will perhaps try and get in two disciplines throughout the day if I can - preferably a run and a swim.  I think I may cycle on Sunday as it takes me the least amount of time, the roads will be quieter and I will sleep soundly throughout the day after a tiring bike ride.  It will depend on what time I get up on Monday as to which activity I shall choose for that day.     <content type="html">Hi Folks!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Had a day off work again today.  Was a bit more productive with it too.  Went food shopping!!  Very pleased with my bargain from Tescos - Two packets of Chocolate Chip Weetabix Minis for £3.50 coupled with using my Clubcard Coupon (£1.50) cost me a quid each!!!  I'm just a little bit addicted to this cereal at the mo.  Tastes especially good when coupled with strawberries, bananas and bio yoghurt.  Yum yum!!!  The rest of my shopping was done at Sainsbury's as the rest of the food I wanted was cheaper there!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, we are meant to be talking about triathlon training here aren't we!!  So.....&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Went swimming today.  24 lengths of the 33 metre pool (front crawl on the odd lengths and breast stroke on the even lengths).  Would have done more but they blew the whistle for us to get out of the water.  I must start going earlier to the pool.  Trouble is I like to go either first thing in the morning (not possible when I have to go to work as the pool doesn't open early enough) or last thing at night mainly because I like to wash at both ends of the day, not in the middle of it!!!  Anyway, lengths done is equal to 792 metres.  I wanted to do somewhere between 800 and 1000 metres but I don't think I will worry too much about the missing 8 metres.  Tis but a drop in the ocean!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Right well, bath water is threatening to flood the place so I'd better go and stop the tap running!!  Good job I aint cooking because I would have set the place alight by now.  I am the only person I know who can manage to cremate a pan of frozen peas when distracted!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Goodnight then.
